The NCODP is a human Rights organisation supporting all disabled people in Norfolk
- The NCODP was formed in 1996 by groups of disabled people in Norfolk who agreed on the Social model of Disability
- The organisation is led by a Board of Trustees all of whom are disabled people and elected by and from the membership
- We are a user led human rights organisation who work according to the principles laid out in our mission statement
Services
We provide a wide range of services including:- Comprehensive advice service that covers all DWP benefits relating to illness and disability with Disability Rights Norfolk. We offer support, advice and information to families and carers of disabled people
- Independent Living Advocacy, an Advocacy Service which is a joint venture between Independent Living Norfolk and Disability Rights Norfolk
- Independent Living Norfolk (ILN) is a free service that provides advice and support to people considering or using Personal Budgets or Direct payments in Norfolk
- Supporting vulnerable adults and juveniles detained in Police Custody with Norfolk Appropriate Adult Service (NAAS)
- Supports users of mental health services to make sure that their views and concerns are heard by others via Norfolk Mental Health Advocacy Service
- Providing advice and support to people considering or using Direct Payments in Suffolk with our Suffolk Independent Living service
- Promote the interested of people that are using, or have used Mental Health Services in West Norfolk with West Norfolk Mental Health User Forum
