Disability Rights Norfolk

Welfare Rights:

As an organisation we are here to deliver a comprehensive advice service that covers all DWP benefits relating to illness and disability. We offer support, advice and information to families and carers of disabled people.

We aim to offer this service as fast and as accurately as possible with advice being given at the point of contact as well as by appointment at our main office and at our outreach surgeries. We are able to provide this service through our volunteer advisors who are either disabled themselves or have a working knowledge of disability and the needs generated within our user group. If you would like to know more about volunteering please do not hesitate to ask.

Benefit advice:

We provide advice on a wide range of benefits including Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Attendance Allowance (AA), Carers Allowance (CA), Incapacity Benefit (IB), Income Support (IS), Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Housing Benefit (HB) and Council Tax Benefit (CTB).

General advice:

We hold an extensive database of both local and national organizations. We are able to source information on all issues relating to disability.

Appeal representation:

We offer a full representation service with a non-judgmental approach to all our clients. As an organisation we are recognised by Professional and Voluntary Bodies alike for our Representatives' empathic and considerate involvement in the very stressful Appeals process and the successful service that we consistently deliver to our user group.
