Disability Pride Logo Competition winner announced

The Norfolk Coalition of Disabled People is pleased to announce the winner of the Logo competition for their Disability Pride event

The competition received a wonderful range of logo entries, each portraying a unique approach to the organiser’s wishes for a logo that would “reflect the experiences and aspirations of disabled people and our struggle for equality and human rights”.

The committee was impressed with all of the entries and narrowing it down to just one single image was a lot harder then they expected.

In the end there could only be one winner and after long deliberations the judges choose James Nightingale’s entry as the logo to represent Disability Pride.

The winning logo can be viewed online, along with all of the competition entries, at www.ncodp.org.uk/disability-pride-logo-competition-winner.

The Norfolk Coalition of Disabled People would like to thank everyone who took part.

As part of James’s prize his winning logo will be seen on publicity and a wide range of merchandise for Disability Pride, which will be held at The Forum in Norwich, Norfolk on Saturday 5th June 2010.

Disability Pride is about celebrating disabled people’s identity and community. It is about showcasing talent, achievements and successes in arts, culture and music.

Disability Pride will see a day of activities, performances and celebrations.
These will include International Musicians, Poetry and Performances from renowned artists and Sporting events from a number of local teams.
