Gill's Training Races : London Marathon 2010

Gill's second post in her diary leading up to the London Marathon 2010 follows her Training Races over the months leading up to April 25th.

This year Gill has taken part in two runs, below she gives an account of those two eventful days.

Bungay Black Dog 20k race Sunday 21st February 2010

The Weather was awful, we had rain, hail, sleet and snow and it was very windy (i was soaked through when i finished)

I finished the race in 2 hours 7mins 35 secs.

I was glad to get home and have a warm bath and sit in front of my wood burner. I was nervous about this run as this is my club - so didn't want to disappoint myself and club members.

Reedham 10 miles Sunday 27th February 2010

The weather was okay although we did have to run through huge puddles that were wide as the road.

I finished the race in 1 hour 38 secs and 26 secs.

I really enjoyed this race. All the runners parked on a sports field and we all had to be pushed out as our cars got stuck in the mud!
