Green Canaries Wheelchair Basketball team are looking for people interested in taking up this fast and very skilful sport.
The team currently has players in the National GB squad and as the 2012 Paralympics comes to London, disabled people from Norfolk could be taking part if you get involved now.
Established in March 2007, their aim is to join the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball League next season in 2010.
The team trains at Recreation Road Sports Hall, off Earlham Road in Norwich every Saturday 3.30pm until 5.30pm.
All are welcome aged 13+ disabled or able bodied.
The atmosphere is friendly and great fun, the team have experienced and qualified staff at all sessions.
For those without their own active wheelchair, the team provide specially designed wheelchairs for you to have a go.
The first session is free, thereafter £3 a session.
You will receive help with fitness, participation skills and social integration and the team offers social and physical support within the group.
The team further provides support to disadvantaged young people with particular needs.
This allows all to participate at their own level with coaching by adults who understand their needs and restrictions.
