What is Independent Living Advocacy?
The Advocacy Service is a joint venture between Independent Living Norfolk and Disability Rights Norfolk. Our Advocates are able to assist with a wide range of issues where you require support to express your own views or to represent you if you would like them to speak up on your behalf.
What do advocates do?
We have acted for people who need help negotiating with Social Services to ensure that the money paid from the Direct Payment scheme adequately reflects the amount of care they need to purchase. We can also help if you feel that you are being discriminated against due to a disability of any kind, whether this is a housing issue or any other matter which is affecting your life.
