Independent Support Planning Trial
From September 1, 2010 Suffolk Independent Living (SIL) will be taking part in a support planning trial in Suffolk with Optua and Suffolk County Council.
A support plan is where you work out how you would like to meet your needs and make changes to your life with your resources from your Personal Budget. Some people will write their own support plan or get assistance from family, friends or Suffolk County Council. Others may like to use an independent service such as SIL to support them, which is why we’re participating in this trial.
As part of the trial we have agreed to support up to 50 people with their plans and it is expected that the trial will last for around six months.
