Are you in receipt of domiciliary/home care?
NCODP is at present working with some of our members in receipt of domiciliary/home care to create a Users Charter.
Although present agreements exist between care agencies, social services and clients, people in receipt of care services are often vulnerable and are not always aware of these agreements.
They therefore do not necessarily know their rights and entitlements or feel comfortable about complaining. We hope that a Users Charter, written by service users, will add value to these agreements and that it becomes part of the proactive process towards a system where the needs of individuals are much more at the heart of personalising services and the social care agenda.
The Charter is intended as a tool for all parties to find rapid solutions to any shortfalls or gaps in service provision. It can be used to inform both users of their entitlements and service providers of how they can improve what is already in place.
If you would like to be involved in writing the Charter or require further information, please contact Hazel Simons 01508 491210 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
